Bazille - Coral Gables: Discover a Culinary Gem in Nordstrom

This is such a hidden gem! The food is delicious- I highly recommend the bread pudding and the French onion soup. Our waitress, Haley, was SO friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We were there for a special occasion and she made sure to make our dining experience memorable. We are definitely going to be regulars here now. Highly recommend Bazille!

SoulEdge: Live Free Arrived there early, before the restaurant opened. Its located inside Nordstrom in the third floor. Met the young Hostess named Emliy ( apologies if I got her name wrong) Eric my server gave me good service. He helped me out with my order. I ordered Shrimp Scampi Pizza, Orange juice, and Brownie with Ice Cream. As I was leaving the restaurant, I noticed it was getting busy, thats a good sign. I have been to the Nordstrom Cafe in Aventura, FL location. I enjoyed my time in Bazille. This visit dedicated to my then German American ex girlfriend. Cue in the songs: "Be the One" by Dua Lipa and "As Long As You Love Me" by Backstreet Boys. ???????? ????????

Let me start by saying Karla, our server, was excellent and a good sport. We had lunch with our 88 year old uncle and she was very accommodating and agreeable to his sense of humor. The food was good. My husband's salmon came out over cooked (he asked for it medium rare) and mine was on the side of dry. My niçoise salad had mushy (grilled?) tomatoes (I did not particularly enjoy them so soft) - otherwise, I enjoyed the niçoise salad. The halibut and fries was actually pretty good and had large chunks of halibut that made my British uncle pretty happy. The atmosphere was crazy busy as well as loud. I am happy Bazille was doing so well on a Saturday afternoon. If you go, follow up on the temperatures of your salmon, and perhaps ask to sit away from the busy open kitchen area.

So, I really wanted to give it 3 stars because of the service but I can’t because the food is just too good. Unfortunately, I arrived while they were changing shifts / someone didn’t show up for work. So we ordered after sitting down for 10 min. Now in terms of the food, this has got to be my favorite lunch place - ever! I was lucky enough that the chef of the moment brought back their goat and berry salad. Fries and kalamatta sauce are a must AND the BRUSSELS SPROUTS. Divine! Chefs kiss The ambiance is appropriate for the dishes and the place as it is located in the middle of Nordstrom in Villave of Merrick Park.

Walked around Merrick Park today and had lunch at Bazille in Nordstrom. Food was excellent. Tarah, our server, was very nice and did a great job. They brought soup out and before we could get started they brought out the main course. Both were still good but it could have been spaced better. As we left the two girls behind the hostess stand were too busy looking at their phones to look up and say anything. But that’s ok. We went for the food. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a stop over.

The food was good. The service was good. The atmosphere was good. But, not as good as their Tampa location because they could not find their brunch menu which caused confusion and the wrong meal being brought to my table. They do not brew a regular pot of black coffee that comes with refills saying they only have an expresso machine. The did not have the chocolate treats that come with the bill like the Tampa location.
